A beautiful woven skirt.
Colour, craft, and everyday ease. Handwoven in 100% Kala (organic) cotton.

Tara Skirt Kala Cotton

Some pieces carry colour the way landscapes do — slowly, in layers.

The Tara Skirt is made in handwoven Kala cotton, where different woven panels come together to create movement, contrast, and rhythm across the garment.

Every section of the textile is woven on the loom itself.
Nothing is printed later.

Soft neutrals sit beside warmer tones, while subtle woven motifs quietly appear across parts of the fabric — adding texture and depth without overwhelming the piece.

The gathered silhouette allows the skirt to move freely, holding both softness and structure at the same time.

Kala cotton, indigenous to the dry landscapes of western India, is breathable, resilient, and naturally suited to the region. Lightweight and easy to wear, the fabric moves comfortably across seasons.

The Tara Midi Skirt is part of our Bloom collection, where materials, craft traditions, and design come together slowly.

This fabric carries the rhythm of a family loom in Kutch through our Reyaan community.

It is woven by Manji Bhai, who has spent more than 30 years at the loom. In his home, weaving is part of everyday life - the steady movement of the shuttle and the quiet rhythm of the loom shaping fabric thread by thread.

For this textile, Kala cotton is used - an indigenous cotton grown in the dry landscapes of western India. Resilient and naturally adapted to the region, it has been part of local textile traditions for generations.

Once the yarn is set on the loom, the fabric begins to take form. As Manji Bhai works, the motifs slowly appear directly in the cloth - not printed or embroidered later, but woven into the textile itself.

A fabric shaped by landscape, craft, and the quiet patience of the hands that make it.
