Mira Top
Kala Cotton with Embroidery
Some pieces reveal themselves slowly.
The Mira Top is designed as an easy, relaxed piece — light, breathable, and simple to wear across seasons.
At the heart of Mira is the textile.
The fabric is made in Kala cotton, naturally dyed using madder to achieve its warm, earthy tone. Kala cotton is an indigenous cotton that grows in the dry landscapes of Kutch and requires very little water.
What makes this piece special is the embroidery.
Placed gently across the fabric, each stitch adds a quiet layer of detail — not overwhelming the textile, but becoming part of it.
There is a softness to it.
A sense of restraint.
You notice it more over time — in the way the threads sit, in the way the surface holds subtle texture.
The result is a piece that feels calm, warm, and deeply connected to the hand that made it.
The Mira Top is part of our Bloom collection, where materials, craft traditions, and design come together slowly — much like the natural world that inspires them.

This fabric carries the rhythm of a family loom in Kutch through our Reyaan community.
It is woven by Manji Bhai, who has spent more than 30 years at the loom. In his home, weaving is part of everyday life - the steady movement of the shuttle and the quiet rhythm of the loom shaping fabric thread by thread.
For this textile, Kala cotton is used - an indigenous cotton grown in the dry landscapes of western India. Resilient and naturally adapted to the region, it has been part of local textile traditions for generations.
Once the yarn is set on the loom, the fabric begins to take form. As Manji Bhai works, the motifs slowly appear directly in the cloth - not printed or embroidered later, but woven into the textile itself.
A fabric shaped by landscape, craft, and the quiet patience of the hands that make it.
