The Ira Pants are designed with a relaxed, wide-leg silhouette — sitting comfortably at the waist and falling with quiet movement through the leg.

At the heart of Ira is the textile.

The fabric is first handwoven in Kala cotton by our weaving community in Kutch. Kala cotton is an indigenous cotton grown in the dry landscapes of western India, naturally resilient and deeply connected to the region’s textile traditions.

Once woven, the fabric moves into the hands of Ajrakh artisans.

Ajrakh is a craft that has lived in Kutch for over 400 years, carried forward through generations of artisan families. The process is slow and layered — often moving through up to 16 stages of printing, dyeing, washing, and drying before the fabric is ready.

Natural dyes like indigo and madder are built gradually, with every stage adding depth to the cloth.

The Beej print, designed in-house by us, appears gently across the surface — inspired by the idea of a seed. Small forms repeated quietly across the fabric, scattered like moments of growth and possibility.

There is rhythm in the repetition.
A softness to the movement of the print.

The result is a piece that feels grounded, expressive, and easy to wear.

Handwoven in a Kala (organic) cotton by Reyaan community in Kutch, India. Kala cotton is an indigenous cotton that grows naturally in dry regions and requires minimal water, making it a resilient and sustainable fiber.

Care

Hand wash gently using mild detergent and lukewarm water if needed.
Lay flat to dry and store folded.

This fabric carries the rhythm of a family loom in Kutch through our Reyaan community.

It is woven by Manji Bhai, who has spent more than 30 years at the loom. In his home, weaving is part of everyday life — the steady movement of the shuttle and the quiet rhythm of the loom shaping fabric thread by thread.

For this textile, Kala cotton is used — an indigenous cotton grown in the dry landscapes of western India. Resilient and naturally adapted to the region, it has been part of local textile traditions for generations.

Once the yarn is set on the loom, the fabric takes form as a clean, handwoven surface — simple, breathable, and grounded.

From here, the fabric moves into the hands of Ajrakh printers.
