Handcrafted and Timeless
Rooted in heritage, made for now. Our unisex Kala Cotton Ajrakh Shirt is block-printed using natural dyes and traditional resist techniques, then sewn in small batches for an effortless fit. A timeless staple with soul in every stitch.

Rooted in Craft. Designed for Now.

This isn’t just a shirt — it’s a quiet story of hands, heritage, and everything that machines can’t replicate.

Made from Kala cotton, an indigenous, rain-fed cotton grown without pesticides in the drylands of Kutch, this shirt is both grounded and graceful. The fabric is handwoven, slow and intentional — every thread holding the rhythm of tradition.

But the magic doesn't stop there. Each shirt is block-printed using the ancient Ajrakh technique, a meticulous, multi-layered resist-dye process that uses only natural pigments. Think deep indigos, earthy reds, and geometry that feels timeless.

The result? A breathable, versatile piece that carries history — yet fits right into now.

100% Handmade. 0% Compromise.

  • Woven on traditional looms
  • Block printed by master Ajrakh artisans
  • Naturally dyed using iron, indigo, and madder
  • Sewn in small batches — with care, not haste

Unisex. Seasonless. Limitless.

With a relaxed silhouette and inclusive fit, this shirt is made for movement — across styles, bodies, and borders.

Wear it as you are:

  • Buttoned up with wide pants or tucked into a skirt
  • Layered over a tee or under a jacket
  • Belted as a tunic or worn oversized as a shirt dress

It adapts to you. Not the other way around.

Made by the Reyaan Community:

From the cotton farmer to the block printer, every person involved is part of our Reyaan community in Kutch — a living collective of craft, resilience, and radical beauty.

This is clothing that means something.
Wear it slow. Keep it forever.

Material

Made from 100% indigenous Kala cotton, handwoven in Kutch, India.
Block printed by hand using the Ajrakh resist dye technique, and sewn in small batches with care.

Why Kala Cotton + Ajrakh

Kala cotton is a resilient, rain-fed cotton variety, native to the arid lands of Kutch. Grown without pesticides or irrigation, it supports low-impact farming and honors traditional seed systems.

Naturally breathable, durable, and textured, it gets softer with every wear.
The fabric is hand block-printed using Ajrakh, a centuries-old technique using natural dyes like indigo, iron, and madder — layered over several days in a rhythm of printing, washing, and sun-drying.

Each shirt is one-of-a-kind — no two are exactly alike.
